2011-2012 Work on Magic

Every year a few more projects.  Here is the major work during 2011-2012:

2011-2012

            Both Volvo 2030 B engines were professionally rebuilt.  The starboard engine rebuild included a new head.    Two Balmar high output alternators were added along with a Balmar Center Fielder.  During the rebuild new ignition switches, new engine instruments, and Teleflex Twin Controls were installed.  Twin controls provide 1 set of controls (forward/reverse and speed) for each engine.

Diesel filtering system including values to transfer and polish diesel in 2 tanks.

            Two Kyocera 215 solar panels were added to the stern davits for 430 watts of solar.  In the starboard engine compartment, a TriStar MPPT Solar Charger Controller was installed.

            Boat painted with 3 coats Awlgrip paint.  Topsides repainted 20l0. 

            

            Head hoses replaced

            

            Custom tool box installed amidships on port.

            Cockpit seating upgraded as part of the project to paint the boat.  Previous cockpit seating of teak slats were removed.  The new seats are custom fabricated marine ply trimmed with teak and sealed with System 3 resin and nonskid.
